WAVIoT was a business channel partner of the International Forum “Power Grids” held in Moscow on December 5, 2019.
The company's representatives took part in a joint plenary session headed by the Russian Minister of Energy, Alexander Novak. He spoke about the global trend of advanced technologies being deployed in the energy sector, and expressed confidence that the adoption of relevant laws "will allow establishing one of the most advanced grid complexes in the world."
Sergey Shermakov, WAVIoT Business Development Officer, spoke about ”Technical policy for power grid development and digital transformation“, describing the data transmission technology realities and possibilities for further digitalization of the smart grid sector.
On December 4, many established sector professionals took part in a round table on "Data transmission protocols standardization in intelligent metering systems": Ministry of Energy representatives, people from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Digital Development, Communications and Information Technology of the Russian Federation, equipment manufacturers, transmission and distribution companies.
Mr. Shermakov acted on behalf of the company and shared the experience of using standard protocols in the WAVIoT resource metering system.
WAVIoT also held its own conference on «Electric power industry» with a further demonstration of integrational possibilities of the platform and WAVIoT Smart Grid solution.
WAVIoT WAVIoT CEO M. Martynov presented consumer electricity meters to the Head of Rosseti PJSC Mr. Livinskiy and Chief Engineer Mr. Mayorov.
A large number of other energy sector companies also attended the meeting.
Further to the event, Telematic Solutions LLC received positive feedback from the certification commission of Rosseti PJSC stating that WAVIoT products meet the power grid technical requirements and are recommended for use at Rosseti PJSC facilities.
CEO of Rosseti PJSC Pavel Livinskiy awarded Telematic Solutions LLC with the "Rosseti Quality Mark" certificate.
Telematic Solutions LLC also received a "High information activity" diploma for its "Wireless solutions based on NB-Fi technology" project.
The "Digital Breakthrough" competition is held at the initiative of Rosseti PJSC to facilitate the implementation of the digitalization strategy of the power grid complex and the search for new innovative technologies, as well as the formation of the industry's innovation environment to stimulate the investment attractiveness of the power grid complex.
The competition is supported by the Ministry of Energy of Russia, the Russian Energy Agency of the Russian Ministry of Energy, the Energy Committee of the State Duma of Russia, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, RVC and leading associations of the fuel and energy sector. The contest is organized by the Fuel and Energy Complex Communications Development Center.
