WAVIoT smart electricity meters

WAVIoT Smart single-phase and three-phase electricity meters can measure active and reactive energy in each tariff and total energy, electric grid parameters (phase voltage, line voltage, current in each phase, active, reactive and total power, instantaneous power factor in each phase and overall, AC frequency) and power quality parameters (positive and negative voltage deviation, frequency deviation, voltage dip duration and depth, overvoltage duration). WAVIoT Smart electricity meters can be controlled by sending the commands for switching off the meters’ load relays and setting the tariff schedule.

The built-in NB-Fi transceiver transmits data from the meter to the base station at a range up to 10 km, which then gets to the WAVIot Meter Data Management system (WAVIoT MDM system). The WAVIoT MDM system can then provide real-time monitoring of household electricity consumption, solar production, and the amount of excess solar power being exported to the grid.

WAVIoT electricity meters with NB-Fi transceiver make it possible to collect data even in places where the network coverage of mobile operators is unstable, or where there is no economic efficiency in deploying such coverage. WAVIoT base stations allow the quick rollout of an NB-Fi network covering a radius of up to 10 kilometers and more.

Along with electricity meters with traditional cases, WAVIoT produce meters for outdoor installation (on power utility poles). Such electricity meters can be supplied with remote displays that, besides using the WAVIoT MDM system, allow customers to get the data from the meter via short-range connectivity (“Split system” – the meters and displays are separated).

In the product line, WAVIoT has three-phase smart electricity meters for connection via the current transformer and via a voltage transformer.

WAVIoT MDM system can be installed in the corporate network and integrated with the existing HES / AMI system through the WAVIoT API. Also WAVIoT electricity meters and WAVIoT MDM system support DLMS that allows getting data from them directly to the customer’s HES system.
